Performer, educator, operatic tenor and stage director, Rick Szuba unravels the mysteries of opera through his series of lesson plans, interactive workshops and performances. 

Rick's vast operatic experience and knowledge gained from his performances across Canada, with such prestigious ensembles as the Canadian Opera Company, is richly evident in this innovative program. 

Teachers and students alike build an applied knowledge of music vocabulary while creating their own "Rapera" or Hip-hoperatic scenes. This hands-on experience includes set design and construction, costumes, thematic composition, dance improvisation, listening, basic music elements and more as it applies to opera and the arts curriculum!
